Oldham County has gone a perfect 4-0 against Dixie Heights recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Oldham County will venture away from home to square off against Dixie Heights at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oldham County has five straight victories, Dixie Heights has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Oldham County proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Trinity.

Kennedy Dennison looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jozie Lashley, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Lori Edgar also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Dixie Heights lost 17-4 to Campbell County on Tuesday.

Oldham County pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Dixie Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Oldham County took their victory against Dixie Heights in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oldham County since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
