Basketball Recap: Community Christian Has No Trouble Against First Baptist

Community Christian won the last time they faced First Baptist and things went their way on Monday too. Community Christian strolled past the First Baptist Crusaders with points to spare, taking the game 71-57. The win made it back-to-back victories for Community Christian.

Despite the loss, First Baptist saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caleb Lindsay posted 23 points and three steals. That was a full 40.4% of First Baptist's points, marking the third time in a row Lindsay has had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Jaeger, who scored 14 points and six boards.

Community Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for First Baptist, they dropped their record down to 12-18 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Community Christian nor First Baptist have any future games scheduled.
