Denver City not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 19th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Alpine Bucks. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Bucks: they've now won five in a row.

While Denver City won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Alpine still got an impressive performance from Karolina Castillo, who had 21 digs and four assists. Castillo is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Denver City's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Alpine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Denver City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Lubbock Christian on the 16th. As for Alpine, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Compass Academy at 12:00 p.m.
