La Grange found their leader in underclassman Kylie Trlicek, who scored 21 points along with 5 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Trlicek has scored at least 25% of La Grange's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Collier, who scored 3 points along with 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Bellville still got an impressive performance from Mackenzie Watson, who scored 21 points. The matchup was Watson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Maggie Davoody was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
La Grange's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Bellville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
La Grange will be playing in front of their home fans against El Campo at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. El Campo is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Bellville, they will head out on the road to face off against Royal at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Royal has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 7.
