After a string of seven wins, the Spring Garden Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockmart.
Rockmart can attribute much of their success to Tristan Anderson, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. The game was Anderson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Treylin Davis, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Spring Garden's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Rockmart, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Spring Garden will be playing in front of their home fans against Weaver at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockmart and Cedartown will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cedartown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 364th, while Rockmart is ranked 80th).
