Immanuel Christian was led to victory by Ben Story and Hector Perez. Story scored 21 points along with two steals, while Perez shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 assists. Story has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Noah Ayala, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
The victory (which was Immanuel Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 18-6. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.67 points. As for Amarillo Collegiate Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Immanuel Christian will head out on the road to square off against Van Horn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Van Horn: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Immanuel Christian has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. Amarillo Collegiate Academy will take on Accelerate Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Accelerate Christian has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
