Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Buena Park Coyotes walked away with it. They blew past Arroyo Valley 62-30 at home. The result was nothing new for Buena Park, who have now won four games by 25 points or more so far this season.
Jaden Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 262 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry, and also catching a touchdown. Moore was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards. Danny Washington was another key contributor, gaining 101 total yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Arroyo Valley still got an impressive performance from Ronald Weathers, who rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 52 yards and a touchdown. Weathers has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last ten times he's played.
Buena Park now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Arroyo Valley, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.
Buena Park will head out on the road to face off against Yucca Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Yucca Valley is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games. Arroyo Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
