Baseball Recap: Philadelphia Academy Charter Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Philadelphia Academy Charter lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Northeast, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Chargers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Vikings an 11-0 shutout on Friday. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Ethan Steinmetz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Tahj Wilson was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Philadelphia Academy Charter is undefeated when Wilson posts three or more hits, but 3-4 otherwise. Jameson Basso was another key player, getting on base in four of his seven plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Philadelphia Academy Charter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.
