In what's become a running theme this season, Easton gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wicomico Indians a 13-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for Easton as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Paxton Echternach looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Kayden Webb and Colin Mooney did most of the damage at the plate: Webb scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Mooney scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Dugan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Easton's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Wicomico, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-19.
