Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Shelton should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will look to defend their home turf against Capital at 7:00 PM. Capital will be strutting in after a victory while Shelton will be stumbling in from a loss.
Shelton took a serious blow against Montesano last week, falling 6-51. Shelton's defeat came about despite a quality game from sophomore Josiah Olels, who rushed for 96 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, Capital strolled past WF West with points to spare, taking the game 29-9. The success made it back-to-back wins for Capital.
Shelton's defeat took them down to 0-2 while Capital's win pulled them up to 2-0. We'll see if Shelton can steal Capital's luck or if Capital records another win instead.
