The Winter Springs Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 59-19 victory over Lyman. The win was some much needed relief for Winter Springs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Soraya Jokhan was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiyarra Sipaseut, who scored 11 points along with six assists.
Winter Springs' win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Lyman, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Winter Springs and Evans will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Evans focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Tuesday.
