Point Arena got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dauki Bechtol out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bechtol has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Billy, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Laytonville came into Tuesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 50-40 victory over Potter Valley last Tuesday.
Point Arena is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Laytonville, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9.
Everything came up roses for Point Arena against Laytonville when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 98-31 win. With Point Arena ahead 62-16 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
