Volleyball Recap: Howells-Dodge Comes Up Short

Howells-Dodge lost against Clarkson/Leigh back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jaguars lost 3-0 to the Patriots. The Jaguars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Howells-Dodge ultimately came up short, they really made Clarkson/Leigh work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 25-21.

Audrey Brabec paced Howells-Dodge's offense, picking up seven kills. Brabec got some help from McKenzie Sindelar and her 18 assists. Brabec was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Howells-Dodge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Clarkson/Leigh, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Howells-Dodge will host Pender on Tuesday. As for Clarkson/Leigh, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Madison on Thursday.
