Leeds' game on Friday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Springville. Leeds has struggled against Springville recently, as their matchup on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Leeds got a solid performance out of Tabari Davis, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Davis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Will Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Meanwhile, Oak Mountain was the victim of a tough 69-45 loss at the hands of Vestavia Hills on Friday.
Leeds' loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-3. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19 points. As for Oak Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Leeds might still be hurting after the 57-37 defeat they got from Oak Mountain when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Leeds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
