On Friday, Eastern View put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 42-13 margin over Courtland. That looming 29-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Eastern View yet.
The match started off well for Eastern View, whose offense put up 21 first-half points. Courtland came up with 7 to make it 21-7 heading into the break. The other side of the ball was dominant for Eastern View in the second half, holding Courtland to a measly 6 points. The victory bumped Eastern View's record up to 5-0. The loss dropped Courtland back to even at 2-2.
Next week Eastern View take on Spotsylvania at 7:00 PM. Eastern View have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Spotsylvania are surely hoping to exploit. As for Courtland, they will face off against Chancellor. Neither of those teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable loss.
