Despite the defeat, Salem Baptist Christian got a solid performance out of Garrett Trinkle, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was Trinkle's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Demetri Ioannou, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Gospel Light Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell to Alamance Christian 57-52. Gospel Light Christian has struggled against Alamance Christian recently, as their contest on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Gospel Light Christian's loss came about despite a quality game from Samuel Sisk, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Trey Skipper, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
The losses dropped Salem Baptist Christian to 0-6 and Forsyth Home Educators to 4-7.
