Despite the loss, Southeast Halifax still got an impressive performance from Kemorriya Evans, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Evans has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Iyana Harrison, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Wilson Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jessica Atkinson, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals. Atkinson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Janiya Johnson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.
Southeast Halifax bumped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Wilson Prep, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10.
