Nazareth Academy had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 9-4 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls, sneaking past 4-2. That's more bragging rights for Nazareth Academy, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Jill DiMario spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alaira Rios, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March.
