Basketball Recap: Orr Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orr). They came out on top against the Raby Raiders by a score of 76-67 on Tuesday. With that win, the Spartans brought their scoring average up to 53.8 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orr to victory, but perhaps none more so than Damarion Johnson, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 21 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Prince Williams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Raby's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Walker, who posted 31 points. The match was Walker's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Nick Rogers was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Orr's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1. As for Raby, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Orr wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-38 defeat against Jones on the 12th. As for Raby, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Clemente on the 12th.
