Gary is on a three-game streak of home losses, Elysian Fields a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Gary Bobcats will take on the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Monday, Gary came up short against San Augustine and fell 33-26. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Gary in their matchups with San Augustine: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Elysian Fields escaped with a win on Tuesday against Hughes Springs by the margin of a single free throw, 33-32. The victory was just what Elysian Fields needed coming off of a 40-18 defeat in their prior game.
McKenzie LeBlanc was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 18 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Elysian Fields' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Patterson, who scored 6 points.
The losses dropped Gary to 0-6 and San Augustine to 2-2.
