Wray and Yuma are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Eagles will welcome the Outlaws at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wray is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Yuma is facing Wray at the wrong time: Wray suffered their first home loss of the season on Saturday and they're likely out for redemption. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 8-2. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wray saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brodie Riggleman, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Yuma, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Platte Valley on Saturday as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Outlaws, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Alex Pensado was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lennox Huwa, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run.

Yuma is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Wray, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Wray has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Yuma struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
