Basketball Recap: Raymond/South Bend Comes Up Short

After a string of three wins, Raymond/South Bend's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 39-38 to the Toutle Lake Ducks. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Ducks are ranked 15th).

Despite the loss, Raymond/South Bend still got an impressive performance from Ava Pine-Isaksen, who posted eight points and 14 rebounds. Pine-Isaksen is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kassie Koski, who earned eight points.

Raymond/South Bend's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Toutle Lake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Raymond/South Bend wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 58-54 win against Mossyrock on the 20th. As for Toutle Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-36 victory against Onalaska on the 19th.
