Rim of the World moved up to 231 from 264 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Mountain Valley. The Fighting Scots were able to make move up by besting Rubidoux 55-6.
Banning extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Citrus Valley, 24-17. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Broncos.
Jurupa Hills's dynamic duo of Damion Wright and Mario Winbush-Moreno proved tough for Notre Dame to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wright threw for 182 yards and one touchdown and Winbush-Moreno had 118 yards receiving. Jasper Watt helped Jurupa Hills' passing attack out by catching two balls for 46 yards.
Jacob Taylor was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 342 yards on 23 carries as Rim of the World beat the Titans. Teammate Jobani Barrios added to the ground attack by rushing for 130 yards.
Notre Dame's Paul Bradvica and Anthony McMaster have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Mountain Valley in both passing and receiving yards. Bradvica has thrown for 1926 yards this season, while McMaster, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 35 catches for 554 yards. Taylor from Bob Gradillas' team leads the league in rushing with 2307 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Rim of the World takes on second place Banning. Last week, the Fighting Scots defeated the Falcons, while Banning topped the Blackhawks.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when John Stockham's team takes on Rim of the World. The Broncos' offense has recorded 419 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Fighting Scots have permitted only 122 on the year.
Entering into this week's contest against Rubidoux, Bradvica is short just 74 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
There should be lots of points scored when Banning and Rim of the World face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Broncos comes in having scored 419 this season, while the Fighting Scots have scored 415. Banning scored 24 points last week as it bested Citrus Valley.
