The Mount Pleasant Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Albemarle Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mount Pleasant's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
Mount Pleasant pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Stanly.
Meanwhile, Albemarle came up short against the Rowdy Rebel Bulls on Tuesday and fell 53-42. That's two games in a row now that Albemarle has lost by exactly 11 points.
Mount Pleasant now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Albemarle, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Mount Pleasant against the Bulldogs when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 64-36 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mount Pleasant since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
