On Friday, Clay County were out to avenge their 8-36 loss to Knox Central from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Clay County lost to Knox Central by a decisive 0-20 margin. Clay County were down by 0-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. The game pushed Clay County down to 1-5 and pulled Knox Central up to the reverse at 5-1.
Next week Clay County take on Bell County at 7:30 PM. Clay County stagger into the match hobbled by three consecutive losses while Bell County skip in buoyed by six consecutive wins. As for Knox Central, they will face off against Wayne County. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Knox Central skips in on four wins and Wayne County on three.
