Sheldon came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the River City Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 21-2.

The critical scores for Sheldon came from Bresia Osborne-Henry, Lia Fleming, and Jayla Woodard.

Sheldon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off seven passes before the game was over. Saniah Wiley led the group effort, picking up four of those interceptions all by herself. Fleming got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Sheldon's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for River City, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Sheldon will host Mira Loma at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River City, they will venture away from home to face off against Varsity Opponent on Saturday.
