University has gone a perfect 10-0 against Brush recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will host the Beetdiggers at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
University barely beat Fort Morgan the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs blew past the Mustangs 12-2 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Medardo Abrego was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaden Turk, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
University was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Morgan only posted a batting average of .200.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brush, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Sterling on Saturday as they made off with an 8-1 victory.
Keeton Jilek made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). He has become a key player for Brush: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Jilek was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Malachi Thiel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That hit was his first of the season. Landon Mesch was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
University's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Brush, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
University was able to grind out a solid win over Brush in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 5-0. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Beetdiggers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
