The Toombs County Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Vidalia Indians, and things went their way on Friday too. Toombs County strolled past Vidalia with points to spare, taking the game 31-14. Given Toombs County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Vidalia is ranked 244th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Toombs County can attribute much of their success to Dabvn Wadley, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns. Aiden Stokes also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Toombs County's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-1. As for Vidalia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Toombs County will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Southwest is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Vidalia, they will head out on the road to face off against Spencer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
