The Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans will square off against the Charlotte Latin Hawks at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday. Wesleyan Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
If Wesleyan Christian Academy beats Charlotte Latin with 13 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Everything went the Trojans' way against Ravenscroft on Tuesday as they made off with a 13-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now won five in a row.

Alexis Emery was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliana Abantohollans, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Wesleyan Christian Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Latin waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Chargers get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.
Not much got past Sydney Thune, who gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Providence Day off the board. Thune has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Irie King, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Talia Hawa, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Charlotte Latin pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Wesleyan Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Charlotte Latin in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
