Temecula Valley hasn't had much luck against Murrieta Mesa recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Golden Bears will challenge the Rams at 3:30 p.m. Temecula Valley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Temecula Valley played in-conference for the first time on Wednesday and got just the result they were looking for. Everything went their way against Chaparral as they made off with a 20-3 victory. Considering the Golden Bears have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Samantha Light, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Nyomi Simental also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Temecula Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .756. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Murrieta Mesa came tearing into Wednesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Nighthawks by a score of 12-7.
Taelyn Holley was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Macy Clark, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one double.
Murrieta Mesa pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Temecula Valley, they moved to 7-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Temecula Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330. However, it's not like Murrieta Mesa struggles in that department as they've averaged .415. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Temecula Valley might still be hurting after the 18-3 loss they got from Murrieta Mesa when the teams last played back in March. Can the Golden Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
