Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Johnathan Coombs stepped things up a notch to give DeMatha the 'W'. Nobody could stop Coombs as he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. DeMatha is undefeated when Coombs posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Coombs and DeMatha will square off against John Carroll at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots will enter the matchup having just beaten McDonogh, so the Stags will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
