Millard North managed a 52-48 win over Omaha Westside. That's another feather in the cap for Millard North, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Millard North can attribute much of their success to Sara Harley, who scored nine points along with two steals. Harley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Clara Welker, who scored seven points.
Millard North's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Omaha Westside, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millard North will take on Papillion-LaVista South at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Papillion-LaVista South is ranked 33rd, while Millard North is ranked 21st). As for Omaha Westside, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Millard West on January 26th. Millard West is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
