The Sand Rock Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Gaston 62-18 at home. Winning may never get old, but Sand Rock sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Katelyn St.Clair continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with four steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Sand Rock's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Handy, who scored 12 points.
Sand Rock's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Gaston, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Sand Rock will head out on the road to face off against Coosa Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gaston will be home for the holidays to greet Fyffe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
