The Ubly Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the Peck Pirates at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Ubly humbled Memphis with a 68-24 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ubly.
Meanwhile, Peck had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They really took it to Landmark Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-26 win at home.
Among those leading the charge was Thomas West, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Carsten Lieblang was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Ubly now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Peck, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Ubly and Peck were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in March, but Ubly came up empty-handed after a 38-37 defeat. Can Ubly avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
