LaCrosse won the last time they faced Otis-Bison and things went their way on Friday too. The LaCrosse Leopards snuck past the Otis-Bison Cougars with a 59-54 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Leopards sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

LaCrosse got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lee Holopirek out in front who posted 25 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. Holopirek is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trenton Skillett, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards.

LaCrosse's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Otis-Bison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaCrosse will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lincoln on January 7, 2025. Lincoln's defense has only allowed 26.2 points per game this season, so LaCrosse's offense will have their work cut out for them. Otis-Bison also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Stafford at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Stafford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season.
