The Pueblo East Eagles can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Friday. They snuck past Pueblo West with a  48-44 win. The  victory was all the more spectacular given Pueblo East's disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings  (they are ranked 257th, while Pueblo West is ranked 122nd).
 Pueblo East was led to victory by  Jaden Garcia and  Izaiah Trujillo.  Garcia  scored 12 points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals, while  Trujillo  scored 24 points along with six  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Trujillo has scored all season.  Maddox Villafon was another key contributor,  scoring six points along with nine  rebounds.
 Pueblo East's win  ended a three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-11. As for Pueblo West,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pueblo East will  face off against Pueblo Central at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Pueblo West won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against Air Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on January 20th. Allowing an average of 57.5 points per game, Air Academy has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this  game.
