The Ascent Classical Academy Guardians scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They secured a 41-35 W over Golden View Classical Academy. The win was just what Ascent Classical Academy needed coming off of a 45-15 loss in their prior matchup.
Several Sentinels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sarah Hermanson, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Jones, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Ascent Classical Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Golden View Classical Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Ascent Classical Academy will head out on the road to face off against Mile High Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mile High Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Ascent Classical Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Golden View Classical Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clear Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Golden View Classical Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Monday.
