The Norfolk Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They rang in the new year with a 57-46 win over Burke. The win made it back-to-back wins for Norfolk.
Leading Norfolk to victory were Tasha Eisenhauer and Skylar Indra. Eisenhauer scored 13 points, while Indra scored 14 points. The contest was Eisenhauer's third in a row with at least ten points. Emerson Waldow was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Norfolk's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Burke, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Norfolk will look to defend their home court on Saturday against South Sioux City. Hopefully South Sioux City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Saturday. Burke won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bryan at 5:00 p.m. on January 5th. Bryan comes in on a streak of failing to score more than ten points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
