The Alhambra Bulldogs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 65-0 win over Ygnacio Valley. The result was nothing new for Alhambra, who have now won four matches by 38 points or more so far this season.
Alhambra had a senior duo take command as Luke Beaty picked up 106 receiving yards and four touchdowns and Beau Blau threw for 166 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Thompson, who rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown.
Alhambra's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Ygnacio Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Alhambra will head out on the road to face off against Northgate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ygnacio Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Berean Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
