Green Bay Preble came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Manitowoc Lincoln Ships get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Hornets have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Jaden Sonnenberg, who gave up just three hits to keep Manitowoc Lincoln off the board.

On the hitting side, Green Bay Preble's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ian Debaker, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Green Bay Preble's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Manitowoc Lincoln, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-5 record this season.

Meanwhile, Manitowoc Lincoln is set to square off against their familiar foe De Pere at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Ships 2.1, the Redbirds 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
