Forest has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Morton Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Morton is ranked eighth).
While it was all tied up 11-11 at halftime, Forest was not quite Morton's equal in the second half last Saturday. Forest fell 29-18 to Morton. Forest has struggled against Morton recently, as their match last Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Morton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-1.
Forest came up short against Morton in their previous meeting last Saturday, falling 29-18. Can Forest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
