Eads gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Hi-Plains Patriots to the tune of 47-20. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eads to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Zimmerman, who went 5-for-10 en route to 11 points and six rebounds. Those 11 points gave Zimmerman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brantley Buller, who posted 11 points and four steals.
Eads was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hi-Plains only posted five.
Eads wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-44 defeat against Stanton County on the 9th. As for Hi-Plains, they have also already played their next matchup, a 67-31 loss against Wiley on the 6th.
