On Thursday, Columbus North came up short against Scottsburg  and fell  62-54. While losing is never fun, Columbus North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings  (they are ranked 128th, while Scottsburg is ranked 17th).
 Despite the  loss, Columbus North saw an underclassman step up:  Kaylie Harmon  scored 18 points. The  game was  Harmon's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Ava Wilson, who  scored eight points.
 Columbus North's loss  ended a four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 9-7. As for Scottsburg, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with that  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home.
 Columbus North will take on Bloomington South at 2:30  p.m.  on January 6, 2024. As for Scottsburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Seymour at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
