Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Patten Academy beat the Mustangs 49-43.
Meanwhile, Apostles Lutheran was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past the 55-28 on the road. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Apostles Lutheran had established a 26 point advantage.
Apostles Lutheran relied on the efforts of Joseph Zhang, who scored 14 points along with six steals, and Jeremy Bork, who scored 23 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Zhang is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chad Chiu, who scored four points along with three blocks and two steals.
Patten Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-14. As for Apostles Lutheran, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.
Patten Academy came up short against the Falcons in their previous matchup back in January, falling 52-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Apostles Lutheran's Lamek Medhanie, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds.
