After a string of four wins, the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell to West Shore 35-30. The contest was a 11-11 toss-up at halftime, but Melbourne Central Catholic was outscored by West Shore in the second.
Despite the loss, Melbourne Central Catholic still got an impressive performance from Ari Teeter, who scored 19 points. Teeter scored a full 63.3% of Melbourne Central Catholic's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jane Cichock was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 12 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Melbourne Central Catholic were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Melbourne Central Catholic's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2. As for West Shore, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
