Holy Name is preparing for their first  conference matchup of the season  on Tuesday. They will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Beaumont School Blue Streaks  at 5:00  p.m. Holy Name is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Last Friday, Holy Name beat Twinsburg 7-3. Those seven runs were actually the fewest the Green Wave have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
 Maura Mihalik made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   eight  hits. Those  hits marked the first that  she  allowed this season. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kylee Blinky, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  triple.  Bailey Garlow was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Beaumont School kicked off their season on the road  on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost  22-5 to Shaker Heights.
  Penelope Zoldak and  Maddie Wilson stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Zoldak  scored a  run while going 1-for-1, while  Wilson  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Amelia Clary, who  went 3-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
Holy Name pushed their record up to 5-0 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Beaumont School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
 Holy Name took their  win against Beaumont School  when the teams last played  back in May of 2024 by a conclusive  10-0 score. Will the Green Wave repeat their success,  or do  the Blue Streaks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
