Jadyn Scott made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Sunnyslope had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against Perry on Monday, falling 16-6. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.
Sydney Benavidez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Peyton Udall was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
