If Durant was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Wilton on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks on Thursday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Colby Gast was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Seamus Devine also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Durant's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Mid-Prairie, they pushed their record up to 13-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Durant will welcome Lisbon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mid-Prairie, they will host Cascade at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
