West Point was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Willow Canyon on Thursday. The Dragons blew past the Wildcats 60-19. The Dragons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Xavier Martinez produced another solid effort throwing for 250 yards and five touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 81 yards on only five carries.
Willow Canyon lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Justin Garr Jr, who threw for 261 yards and one TD. 112 of those passing yards were hauled in by Aiden Fuerstenberg.
West Point's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Willow Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
