Bastrop escaped with a win against Ponchatoula by the margin of a single free throw, 50-49. The win was familiar territory for Bastrop who now have five in a row.
Bastrop's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jameiah Peoples, who scored 15 points. Mariah Heard was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Bastrop pushed their record up to 18-0-1 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.36 points. As for Ponchatoula, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.
